Course Description
There is emerging, though limited research evaluating the effects of high flow oxygen on swallowing abilities. The presenters have gathered literature reviewing various oxygen therapies, their impact on the upper aerodigestive tract, and potential effects on physiologic swallowing. The clinical importance of appropriate patient selection and swallowing evaluations/management in this population will be discussed.
